The Hood presents a 3D model of our Milky Way Galaxy as viewed by the European Space Agency’s Gaia Spacecraft, operating from 2014 to 2025, whose mission was to build a dynamic 3-dimensional model of our galaxy from the L2 Lagrangian Point, a shielded, stable, permanently-dark interstellar region, a million miles from Earth.
