True Grit appropriates a mid-century American advertisement in American red, white, and blue. Appeared in Sotheby’s magazine, September–October 2015, as part of his “Market Makers” debut exhibition at the Hoerle-Guggenheim Gallery, New York. Another tonal meditation on his American experience, True Grit is also a reflection on the tenacity and grit it takes to ‘move the needle’ on major global markets .. like those for everyday health and beauty products, and those for fine and performance art.
